Wall of Power Radio Hour – March 26, 2016
This is a replay of a show that first aired last February, the week after celebrated New York Times journalist, and Twin Cities native, David Carr passed away with his boots on in the newsroom at the NYTimes. Paul Metsa chatted with three Twin Cities journalists who knew and worked with Mr. Carr. They included Brian Lambert, Jim Walsh, and David Brauer. The day after Carr died on 2/12/15, Metsa found the lyrics of a song he wrote for David when he was in the depths of chemical addiction called “Drifting Away.” It was lost for 25 years, and upon finding them Metsa went directly into the studio and recorded the song and it ends the show.
