Living Healthy and Aging Well – February 17, 2024
Kyle Woody, Executive Director and co-founder, of Jack’s Caregiver Coalition, joins host Ken Haglind on “Living Healthy and Aging Well” radio show. Kyle believes that one of the biggest and most important challenges a guy can face in his lifetime is engaging as a caregiver for a loved one facing a health crisis. He also believes that every guy has the potential to rise to that challenge and bring to it his boldest and most confident self. Reflecting on his experience as a primary caregiver for his spouse with metastatic colon cancer he realized many of the same principles of excellence, leadership, and teamwork that he preached in his professional career should have been applied in his caregiving role. In 2014 he co-founded and became executive director of Jack’s Caregiver Coalition, an organization improving the way guys think, feel, and act through every phase of their caregiving journey. Jack’s is a non-profit hospitality company with no paywall for our services. Our programs are all designed to connect caregivers with others who have successfully navigated the same terrain. Some of our services are for men only, and some are for caregivers of any gender. For more information visit www.jackscaregiverco.org.
