Guest Michelle Havens, visual merchandising consultant in the furnishings industry discusses fundamental differences between retail merchandising and residential interior design. Mixologist Jourdan Morris creates the “Sashay” cocktail fulfilling Michelle’s wish to drink a cocktail that evokes the perfumes favored by “little old ladies”.

Wine glass

Bar spoon

Recipe…

2 oz aquavit

3 oz tonic water

1/2 oz strawberry shrub

2 dashes bolivar bitters

Assorted aromatics and garnishes

(Dill, orange peel, candied ginger, star anise, peppercorns, etc)

Method…

Fill the wine glass 1/2 full with ice.

Add the aquavit, shrub, and bitters and stir to combine.

Add the tonic and garnish with aromatics.
