Paul Metsa interviews filmmaker and social activist Gay Dillingham who was in Minneapolis showcasing her film Dying to Know: Timothy Leary and Ram Dass. The film traces the last days of LSD guru Timothy Leary as he reunites with his former colleague Ram Dass (formerly Richard Alpert.) They met at Harvard in the early 1960’s while they were both professors exploring the frontiers of consciousness with the use of psychedelics. Towards the end of Leary’s life they meet and converse about death, dying, and rebirth. Gay also chats with Paul about the tribulations of making independent films, her two visits to Korea, and her fascination and friendship with Dr. Leary and Ram Dass. Interesting stuff!
