Hour 2 segment 1: Your calls on Biden’s labor speech on Wednesday and how music programs are being cut at public schools. Then Brett Johnson speaks with Matt Lelou of the Communications Workers of America union at New Flyer in St. Cloud, a bus manufacturing plant. Their union recently authorized a strike seeking higher pay, sick time, paid religious holidays and limits on mandatory overtime.
Hour 2 segment 2: The MN COVID-19 update. A (very) small portion of Hennepin County workers may lose their jobs since they refuse to get a COVID vaccine. And the Star Tribune reports a conservative Minnesota think tank (Center of the American Experiment) says it’s the victim of cancel culture after a “anti-free speech bullies” protested a planned event at the Rochester Golf & Country Club.
